Cindie Luhman, PhD

Cindie has always had a passion for animals and for nutrition. She recently retired from being the Vice President of Research and Development for Purina Animal Nutrition LLC. Starting a new chapter in her life meant new opportunities where her passion could shine. In late 2022, Cindie and her daughter, Beth Gissal, purchased Pet Play Town, a dog daycare, boarding, and grooming resort in Maitland, FL. Cindie is hoping to add nutritional services to the mix soon. Cindie received a Ph.D. degree in Nutritional Physiology at Iowa State University in 1990 and she has really enjoyed brushing up on practical canine and feline nutrition through the Science Dog courses.
